I read an article on kale which I felt needed more detail and a few caveats.
Despite the worrying headline, the artictle explains well why kale IS GOOD for you 🙂 Kale keeps its superfood status! But points presented as negatives require a slight correction :
Firstly, erm… the gassiness issue, is usually reduced once your body adapts – so keep eating and avoid enclosed spaces until the trouser rumbles have subsided.
Secondly, the issue with raw kale affecting thyroid function – COOK YOUR KALE! It’s so much tastier sautéed with butter and garlic than in a smoothie 🙂
Anyway, it’s a good read and well worth taking into account given the kale hype!
