No Equipment Training, part 1. Mountain Climbers

It’s that time of year where going for a run gets a bit less appealing when the wind and rain get going.

So we’re going to start a series of bodyweight exercises that you can do at home which will turbocharge your cardiovascular system and give you a nice strength endurance workout too.

This is my favourite when I’m pressed for time. Mountain climbers – a great exercise that works your shoulders, core and cardio endurance.

The key points are:

  • Keep your back flat and level at all times
  • Bring the knee up past the elbow
  • Hold and pause, then repeat!
