I remember, as a kid, having to drink cod liver oil. Bleurgh! That has to be one of the most disgusting tastes on the planet. Luckily, I’ve been taking them fish oil as capsules since.
The nutritional benefits of fish oil are incredible – brain health, joint health and good skin being some of the many. but I found out something interesting on my nutritionist course. Cod liver oil is *NOT* the best source of fish oils. Some research appears to indicate this is because of skewed vitamin A & D ratios.
What do I recommend instead?
Krill oil – it’s remarkably sustainable and fairly cheap.
